
Zukiswa Wanner is a South African author who has many books to her name. Her fiction books include The Madams, Oshun, 2006, Behind Every Successful Man, Kwela, 2008, Men of the South, Kwela Books, 2010 and London Cape Town Joburg, Kwela Books, 2014. She also has non fiction and children’s books. She is also a columnist with the Saturday Nation the most recent one which discussed the unique shortcomings of the Kenyan publishing industry.
She will be in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania as part of her duties facilitating the Writivism creative writing workshop that will be happening in that East African city on 23-25 January. This workshop will include mentees from around the region being given the tools to become the next big thing in writing from Africa and will be run alongside Ayeta Wangusa.
Wanner who is not one to let an opportunity go begging will be introducing Tanzanians and other Dar es Salaam residents of interest to her latest work London Cape Town Joburg. There will be a public reading of the book at the Eco Sanaa, Mikocheni B from 5.30 -8.30p.m on January 23, 2015.
