WritivismNext week all eyes will be on Kampala, Uganda for the Writivism Festival 2014. Many events will be happening at what is gearing up to be the biggest literary event in East Africa.

As part of our coverage of the event I will be focusing on events that we feel are outstanding ones for people who might want to visit. And what event could be as big as the joint signing ceremony of some of Africa’s leading writers at the event at the Aristox Bookslex at Garden City on 21st of June.

Lets go down the list of writers and their most recent books listed in order of when they were publishing with the highest being the top then…

  • Jennifer MakumbiThe Kintu Saga.

  • Zukiswa WannerLondon Cape Town Joburg

  • Noviolet BulawayoWe need new names

  • Nii Ayikwei Parkes Tail of a blue bird

In this list of books is a whole load of literature prize nominations and wins so you know that you have good stuff. The most interesting one for this blogger is The Kintu Saga which we will be seeing for the first time after its Kwani Manuscript Prize win the other time.
