Time of the Writer 2022 will be hosted at the seaside town of Durban, South Africa from March 14-21, 2022.
Time of the Writer is a literary festival that has been hosted in Durban, South Africa since it first ran in 1996. Organised by the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Centre for Creative Arts, it has hosted some of the biggest names in African and world literature for the last two and a half decades. It has gotten support from the South African Department of Arts.
The twenty-fifth edition of the festival is set to run from March 14-21 based on a communication put out by its organisers on social media. There is little information on the theme or even guests who shall attend this year. What we know is that if you are in Durban or South Africa in the second week of March, you want to plan to attend one of the biggest literary shindigs on African soil.
