Salon du Livre Africain de Paris 2023 will be hosted in Paris, France from March 17-19, 2023. The guest country will be Guinea.
The first edition of Salon du Livre Africain de Paris (African Book Fair in Paris) organised by Erick Monjour was hosted in 2021. The main feature of the festival was a space dedicated to publishers, booksellers, libraries, research centres, and institutions representing the African publishing and cultural world. On offer were publishers and booksellers and dozens of authors including Marien Fauney Ngombé, Fiston Mwanza Mujila, Boniface Mongo-Mboussa, Alphonsine Mobe Mukazali, Délice Mankou, Brêche Laura Malanda Mabouanga, Huppert Malanda, Joyce Veronica Batisa, Mireille Opa-Elion, Alphonse N’Kala, Henri Djombo, Obambe Gakosso, Serge Eugène Ghoma Boubanga, Auguy Ibanga, Christian Kader Keita, Doris Kélanou, Christian Kotto, Digne Elvis Okombi Tsalissan, Gaël Octavia, Exaucé Elvin Ngaba Nsilou, Anicet Cyrille Ngouloubi, Virginie Ngolo, Bersol Exaucé Ngambili Ibam, Blaise Ndala Hem’Sey Mina, Prince Arnie Matoko, Guy Stan Matingou, Didier Mavinga Lake and Ferréol Gassackys. The second edition of the fair in March will have events like readings, panels, book launches, exhibitions, and more at the town hall of the 6th arrondissement. Some of the expected special events will be tributes to the 10th anniversary of the death of Nelson Mandela and the centenary of Ousmane Sembène.
Information on featured guests, those available at the moment are still tentative, will be announced at the beginning of March. As they firm up events and guests, we suggest those who are in the area to plan on going to this festival.
