We know our Naija people love to party like the rest of us on this continent and what better peeps to do this than for the writers longlisted for this year’s Nigerian Literature Awards. The awards which are the richest on the continent for any individual have eleven writers in the gunning for the US$100,000 had a party in their hour. A book party at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday August the 3rd.
How would a book party go about being done? Well this one was the CORA book party which is in the sixth year of running and had a mix of readings, interaction, and entertainment. The event started with performances by the lyrical Afro neo-soul singer Aduke Aladekomo and her band, ‘Sticks, Strings and Voices’.
