Oduor Jagero, Zukiswa Wanner and Winam International Storytelling Festival for Kisumu

JageroZukiswaSo much happening in the new week in the literature world on this rock. Today however I will focus on two gigs happening for all you literature buffs in Kisumu.
On Wednesday 15th October, Oduor Jagero and Zukiswa Wanner will be launching their two books True Citizen and London Cape Town Joburg at the Little Art gallery at the Mega City Mall. They will be the Kisumu debuts for the two authors who come from Kenya and South Africa respectively.
This will be followed by the Winam International Storytelling Festival with guests from Kenya‬, ‪USA‬, ‪Uganda‬, ‎Tanzania‬, ‪‎Denmark‬, ‪Senegal and the theme “Sweetening the tale”. The events start on the 16th and goes on to end on the 25th at the Aga Khan Hall 1pm to 6pm. Tickets for the gig are 500/=. Contact 0728790975.
If you are in Kisumu next week that place will be happening literature wise. And while we are at it you might want to sample the extremely colourful night life on the Lake Victoria based town.

  1. Hi JM, not sure if this is the right slot to ask it in. But I am after modern African lit especially East African that deal with terrorism, any ideas?
