The NGC Bocas Lit Fest 2022, Trinidad and Tobago’s leading literary festival, runs from April 28 – May 1, 2022.
The NGC Bocas Lit Fest is a literary festival that takes place annually during the last weekend of April in the Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Inaugurated in 2011, it is the first major literary festival in the southern Caribbean and largest literary festival in the Anglophone Caribbean. The festival title sponsor is the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago (NGC). Other sponsors and partners include First Citizens Bank, One Caribbean Media (OCM), who sponsor the associated OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature, and the Commonwealth Foundation.
The festival organisers have announced that it will run this year from April 28 – May 1. It will feature readings, performances, launches and loads more. The festival which will be a physical undertaking will also see the winner of the OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature announced.
Running the festival for 2022 is a Board of Directors led by President Marina Salandy-Brown alongside Chief Executive Officer Jean-Claude Cournand, and festival and programme director Nicholas Laughlin.
