Date: Saturday November 5th, 2016
Time: Saturday at 14:00–16:00
Venue: Cosmos Coffee House, Highwayy Mall, Mombasa Road (opposite Nyayo Stadium).
The Cosmos Coffee House which was started a few months ago at the Highwayy Mall does some of the best food and drink in the Mombasa Road area. The management decided to make a home for the Nairobi reader by setting up the Cosmos Book Club which allows patrons to have a relaxed time as they read their favourite book. The club will feature a book every month and readers can get to meet the author and ask them questions about their motivations for their work. They can also get their copies of the books signed by the author.
Award winning author Ng’ang’a Mbugua will be the first writer doing a reading and discussion on his book Angels of the Wild published by One Planet Publishers. Mbugua will be moderated by book blogger James Murua.
Nairobi folks will get to meet the English winner of one of Kenya’s main literary prizes the Wahome Mutahi Literary Prize 2016 in prize. The book won its prize at a colourful ceremony at the Pride Inn in September. He was accompanied on the day by the Kiswahili winner John Habwe for his book Kovu Moyoni published by Bookmark Africa.
The event happens on November 5th, 2016 and starts at 2pm and goes on for two hours. The entry is free but patrons are asked to buy from special offers that will be on offer on the day.
