The young writers who will be taking part in the Writivism workshops in fiction, non-fiction and poetry were announced on Friday afternoon at the Ake Festival happening in Abeokuta, Nigeria. The workshops will be running in Accra, Kampala, Abidjan, Dakar and Goma in 2016 will be facilitated by Yewande Omotoso, Sitawa Namwalie, Mamadou Diallo, Edwige Dro and Richard Ali-Mutu.

Apart from the announcement presided over by EC Osondu and there were readings by Writivism 2015 shortlistees Jane Kalu and Adeola Opeyemi and eventual winner Pemi Aguda. The Writivism workshop class of 2016 will be;
