Storymoja Publishers in Kenya are famous for the Storymoja Hay Festival but are also part of a project to get books to kids called Start-A-Library.

This Monday 16th June as part of the Day of the African Child celebrations they have organised a National Read Aloud Event which will feature thousands of children, educators, reading ambassadors and other stake-holders reading aloud simultaneously from different venues across the country.

The Read Aloud is also an attempt to break the World Guinness Record. The current world record stands at 223,363 people reading together across 909 venues in the United States.
You are asked to join the kids read aloud from KICD-approved book Attack of the Shidas which entertains children while preaching the power of unity. For more information on the many schools that have registered for the world record attempt please click here.
