Locus Awards 2020

Locus Awards 2020 finalists announced.

Nnedi Okorafor, Tade Thompson, Akwaeke Emezi, Tochi Onyebuchi, Ta-Nehisi Coates, and Marlon James are finalists in the Locus Awards 2020 announced on May 29, 2020.

The Locus Awards are literary awards handed out annually by the science fiction and fantasy magazine Locus based in Oakland, California, United States.

The finalists for 2020 have been announced and they feature names that should be of interest for anyone following the content that we produce here at JamesMurua.com. They include Nnedi Okorafor in the novelette category for Binti: Sacred Fire and in the nonfiction category for Broken Places & Outer Spaces: Finding Creativity in the Unexpected. Also recognised are Akwaeke Emezi in the Young Adult category for Pet, Tochi Onyebuchi also in the Young Adult Category for War Girls, Marlon James in the horror novel category for Black Leopard, Red Wolf, Tade Thompson in the Science Fiction category for The Rosewater Insurrection/The Rosewater Redemption and Ta-Nehisi Coates in the first novel category for The Water Dancer.
